“We are very excited to have four excellent restaurants in the final of the competition with two coming from North Wales. This is the second time in the history of the competition where we have had a dead heat at this stage of the competition. Both of these amazing restaurants received the same marks from the regional judges. This means that North Wales will have two restaurants competing in the National Final,” said Berwyn Rowlands from the Festivals Company who organise the annual event.
“This year we also see the return of two previous award winners - Kareem’s from Rhyl and the Sheesh Mahal from Llanelli – both will be looking to win for the second time. The new kids on the block include the Ashoka from Bridgend who will be celebrating 25 years in business later this year and Rozi’s of Prestatyn – one of 6 popular restaurants belonging to the same company located in North Wales,” added Berwyn.
